Chomp started with a simple question: Why was it so hard to find a toothpaste tablet that checked all the boxes?
Before Chomp existed, our founder spent many years working for a national pet retailer. That experience opened their eyes to an issue that would eventually inspire an entirely new kind of toothpaste.
They couldn't find a toothpaste tablet that was xylitol-free.
That might not sound like a big deal until you live with pets.
Xylitol can be extremely dangerous to dogs, and it is found in many everyday products. For a pet-friendly household, having toothpaste containing xylitol around the house simply wasn't something our founder wanted to worry about.
So instead of waiting for someone else to solve the problem, they decided to create the product they couldn't find.
That's where Chomp began.

The goal wasn't simply to make a tablet without xylitol.
We wanted to rethink what a toothpaste tablet could be.
