Avoid artificial colors in toothpastes

Many options on the market look great with different colors for toothpaste and toothpaste tablets. But did anyone really think that those colors are natural? They may look like fun, but they're not good for you or your teeth.

Most food dyes are synthetic and are produced from petroleum. Dye's like this can build up in your body over time. Some are blue 1, red 28, red 30, yellow 5 and more.

Artificial dyes have been shown to affect children's behavior and also are linked to cancer, ADHD and allergies.

The bottom line...go with natural toothpastes that are free of dyes and artificial ingredients.
